SIMAnalysis

Set up analysis layouts

Create, load, edit, duplicate, and delete reusable telemetry layouts for 4ACE Detailed Analysis.

Analysis layouts define how Detailed Analysis displays telemetry. Use them to keep a repeatable view for race engineering work such as speed traces, driver inputs, delta time, tire behavior, and vehicle response channels.

A layout can contain multiple panels. Each panel contains one or more charts and channels. Layout changes save automatically after you edit panels, channels, names, colors, or chart settings.

Before you start

  • Select the correct team.
  • Open a completed simulation in Detailed Analysis.
  • Decide whether the layout should be private to you or available as a team layout.
  • If you want Detailed Analysis to open with a preferred layout, set it in User preferences.

Create a layout

  1. Open Analysis > Detailed Analysis.
  2. Import or open a simulation.
  3. In No Layout Loaded, select Create Layout.
  4. Choose a starting point:
    • Blank creates an empty layout.
    • From Default duplicates the team's default layout when one exists.
    • Duplicate copies an existing layout.
  5. For a blank layout, enter Layout Name.
  6. Turn on Private layout if only you should be able to use it.
  7. Select Create Layout.

Blank layouts are added to the layout list. If the blank layout does not load immediately, select Load Layout and choose it before adding panels.

Load a layout

  1. Open Detailed Analysis with a simulation loaded.
  2. Select Load Layout.
  3. Search by layout name when needed.
  4. Select the layout.

The layout list shows layout name, creator, last updated time, and a DEFAULT badge when the layout is marked as default.

Add panels and channels

  1. Load a layout.
  2. Select Add Panel.
  3. Enter a panel name.
  4. Select Add Panel.
  5. Open Channel Configuration from the gear button or by right-clicking the chart area.
  6. Select Add channel.
  7. Choose one or more telemetry channels.
  8. For a single channel, adjust display name, Y-axis min and max, decimals, and color when needed.
  9. Select Add or Add Channels.
  10. Select Save Changes.

A new panel starts with a Speed chart. Channel picker categories include timing and distance, driver inputs, vehicle dynamics, powertrain, brakes, suspension, aerodynamics, tires, and track channels.

Configure chart behavior

Use Channel Configuration to control how the active panel is displayed.
