SIMRunning Simulations

Run FastSim

Run a circuit-based FastSim simulation from vehicle, circuit, ambient, and driver inputs.

FastSim is the circuit-based simulation type in 4ACE SIM. Use it when you need to simulate a vehicle around a selected circuit with a selected driver and ambient condition.

Before you start

  • Select the correct team.
  • Confirm the team has enough credits.
  • Prepare a vehicle, circuit, ambient, and driver.
  • Use FastSim when the run needs circuit distance, laps, and circuit-based analysis.

Run FastSim

  1. Open Simulations from the sidebar.
  2. Select New.
  3. In General, choose FastSim.
  4. Add Name, Notes, or Tags when useful. If name is blank, 4ACE can generate one from selected circuit and vehicle.
  5. Continue to Setup.
  6. Select Vehicle.
  7. Select Circuit. Team circuits and public circuits can appear in this selector.
  8. Select Ambient.
  9. Select Driver.
  10. Continue to Settings.
  11. Review Credit Consumption in the sheet header.
  12. Set simulation settings.
  13. Optional: turn on Save these settings as team defaults.
  14. Select Add simulation.

The run appears in the Simulations table after submission.

Throttle Increment (%)Increment used during throttle search.0.50.1 to 5.
Brake Increment (%)Increment used during brake search.0.50.1 to 5.

Check the result

  1. Open the simulation from the Simulations table.
  2. Wait for status to reach Completed.
  3. Open Summary to review performance metrics and lap data.
  4. Open Analysis to inspect telemetry and compare runs.
  5. Open Configuration when you need to confirm which vehicle snapshot, circuit, ambient, and settings were used.

Performance metrics appear only after the simulation completes successfully.

Troubleshooting

ProblemWhat to check
Cannot continue from SetupFastSim requires Vehicle, Circuit, Ambient, and Driver.
Credit consumption shows 0 or no estimateSelect Vehicle, Circuit, and Ambient first.
Number of laps errorUse 1 to 100 laps.
Duration errorUse 5 to 7200 seconds when duration mode is selected.
Start gear options stop before 8The selected vehicle has fewer available gears.
Performance metrics are missingWait for Completed status. Failed, pending, running, canceled, or timed-out runs do not show completed metrics.
Analysis has no dataConfirm the run completed and has telemetry output.
